1.  Take a "Reality Check" and figure out how you must freshen up your brand or simply re-invent your brand entirely

a.  Make a stand on what you represent which takes courage

b. Identify with what is working and what is not working in your world

2.  Define who you are and what you are about vs. what you do

a.  Start with your client first and this will drive who you are

b.  Involve yourself in something bigger than you by defining your true contribution to society        and your community

3.  Determine specific facets of your personal brand and qualities that give you the edge in the marketplace

a.  Start with service first and know that being weak at service is not an option, so start with great news and share that with those around you

b.  Know your presentation by specifically stating the clear points of what you offer

4.  Create your message:  Know your brief script on yourself

a.  Remember, 90% of what we do is psychology and 10% is mechanics and when you are describing your message, you must have it fueled with energy and passion

5.  Position yourself as someone who people call upon as "the expert" as it pertains to your business and your life

a.  Create a necessity of what you do vs. and option

b.  If you brand yourself as a part of life, and market with that rule in mind, people will make     you the go-to person for all of their needs pertaining your business

Bad luck or poor choices?

I am the first person to say that some of us have situations that occur in our lives which are certainly out of our control and put us in a predicament. I am also the first person to say that we find reasons to justify these predicaments as a thing of luck vs. a thing of choice.  I am certainly not talking about traumatic life altering events that occur in our lives such as natural disasters and other things that are the obviously not our choice...

I am saying, at the core level of anything that we do, we have made a choices relating to all that we do.

Let's talk about why this is so important to understand:

1.  Choice vs. Circumstance:  Coming from a place of choice allows you to take control a lot faster vs. falling into a place of victimization

EX:  If you are in a relationship that is not clicking, well it is your choice to stay in that relationship and continue to find many reasons to stay because it seems to be the convenient thing to do.  This is a simple example, however as time progresses, we start feeling like we are entangled in something, not through choice but because of circumstances and we blame our circumstances which first started as a choice!!!!!  Self-perpetuating cycle.

2.  Like=Like:  Have you ever known someone who seemed to be the coolest person with so much to like and they started hanging around you and they became even better?  If you have answered yes, I applaud you.  What about someone who actually gives you credit for them being a better person?  That feels nice, doesn't it?  Now let's take the opposite side of the spectrum, with the person who is around you and they seem to make you a better person, and cause you to think differently...

Question:  Is this the other person really making you a better person, or is it you appreciating the relationship, which is causing you to look at yourself a bit more positively, which is causing you to respond to yourself and others more effectively, which causes you to get the most out of your relationships and "situations" and as a result it appears that you have made a desirable choice?

Today:  Take a minute to look at your life and to really discover where you have made some not so effective choices.  Look at those choices and choose differently.  This sounds so simple, and it is not simple, I will be the very first person to tell you.  The main reason why this is not seeming so simple is because you may find yourself in a current set of circumstances that are all based on choices which more than likely originated, 10 choices ago.

START FRESH: MAKE A NEW CHOICE AND DO SOMETHING A BIT DIFFERENTLY THAT WILL EMPOWER YOU AND THOSE AROUND YOU!!!

Wow, I was slightly informed of some interesting news that has compelled me to first apologize for teasing you with my words and then abandoning your intellect and forcing you to find your mental stimulation elsewhere!!! No longer I say... No longer...

Yes, on tracking down every ounce of information that you can track down that will compel you to be better and operate at a higher standard of living.  Yes, on creating dynamic results that will allow you to be the best person that you can be.

Let's face it, in these times we want to sink our brains into something that motivates and inspires.  I know that I am right on track when saying this because it seems that during any given day, at least one person will mention something about what's not working.

What is working about your life?

What are you most excited about in your life?

Why are you most excited about this in your life?

These are compelling questions and redundant for a reason!!

Answer them now please, including my "gurus" and the like!

"Infinite Possibility"

We live in an age where it seems so much is impossible which in essence... makes more things possible.  This profound concept forces us, compels us, inspires us, probes us and truly triggers a new line of thinking!

New ideas and concepts are expected! What about a new philosophy?  A new way of being?  Isn't this a true impact on a marketplace, a community, the globe?

How often are you freshening up your brand and your philosophy to match up and deliver exactly what you want the marketplace to know about you?

Pay close attention to what I am about to say next:  Everything that is said about you, reflects your work, and it is ATTENTION that is being placed on YOU!  Make no mistake, there is good press and bad press and the age old rule about PR:  Good or Bad, it's PR!  I don't buy into some of that philosophy 100% because there are things that we have to undue due to bad PR!! 

However my friend... keep in mind, it's what you do after the good or bad press!!

Everything we do, how we do it, what we say, how we say it and why we say what we say goes through so many psychological filters and carries out into an interpretation which then feeds into the microcosim of society and leads to a self-perpetuating branding frenzy!!!

AND THIS IS WHERE YOU ENTER INTO THE FINITE WORLD OF INFINITE POSSIBILITY!!!

"The unsung HERO: The Tech Guru"

Who is in your back pocket? Besides an old piece of gum!!  This is the bottom line, in this very technologically savvy world that we are living in, it is a given to simply know how to email someone, and FYI, that is not considered high tech, just in case you were wondering.

Today we are giving credit where it is due!! Yes, I like to call him/her the almighty "technology guru"

Yes. Finally.  Let's be honest, without my Tech Guru in my back pocket, my photos, documents, marketing pieces,  blogs and innovative ideas would be all in my fantastic mind!!! And this does us no good!

I am serious about this, we are in an age of information times 100 and more than ever, we need to be able to access such information.

So, here are some pointers to look for in your "Tech Guru"

1.  Make sure they are far smarter than you in every way as it pertains to anything dealing with a computer and the great things that it can do.  (don't be threatened by their big brains, they are far more diligent than most and we want to recognize such a thing)

2.  If they come up to you with a bright idea, daily, than they are "in" and this means they have a pulse on what is going on in the world.

3.  Make sure they have the ability to create communication with many worlds, not just their industry but your industry and your competitors industry.

TIPS ON HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH OUR "TECH GURUS"

1.  Do not insult their intelligence by asking them to google something, they love google and have more than likely "mega-googled" before you could even finish your sentence or question.

2.  Praise them for their bright ideas-not that they really care about your praise, they just want to make sure that you are paying attention to the large amounts of information that they are throwing your way.  If you don't pay attention, they will dump you for someone who knows how to give credit where it is due!

3.  Utilize their ideas- look they have made your life easier and they know it.  Use their ideas sooner than later or their ideas will already be outdated and then they will fish around for more in the sea of technology.  They don't mind of course, but please don't let bright ideas pass you by!

So, to all of our "Technology Guru's" you are truly appreciated!!
